Warning: this is a discussion of the characters, events, and eventual ending of The Last of Us. There will, obviously, be major spoilers.
The only reason I was able to play The Last of Us was because the stars just so happened to align, and I happened to have borrowed my brothers’ PS3 at the time of its release. I heard good things, happened to find the game in my grocery stores’ Redbox, and away I went. One of the best favors I did myself about this game was to purposely avoid almost all knowledge of it. I had heard of it, and everything I DID hear was incredibly enthusiastic, but I kept my ignorance because, at the time, I didn’t think I’d ever get the chance to play it. It’s hard to say just how glad I am that that didn’t end up being true.
